Fuyao Glass, the world’s largest automotive glass supplier, was raided by U.S. law enforcement last year for evidence related to financial crimes and labor exploitation. Fuyao Glass entered the U.S. market in 2014 by establishing a manufacturing plant and began operations in 2015. However, due to differences in labor and management culture, the company has frequently clashed with American labor standards.

Recently, clips from the documentary American Factory, which highlights labor disputes at Fuyao’s factory, have resurfaced online. In one scene, a Chinese manager openly states his desire to force American workers to work overtime on Saturdays and casually remarks that if employees want to sue, they can go ahead and sue.

Chinese companies have long ignored labor rights and labor laws. Even on American soil, they continue to violate regulations, and regulatory authorities need to pay closer attention.
